David J. Adelman is a Philadelphia-based entrepreneur, active private investor, and philanthropist. He is the founder of Darco Capital, his family office investment vehicle, and has made more than 100 venture capital and growth equity investments across real estate, climate tech, deep tech, consumer products, sports, enterprise technology, and consumer-facing brands including: Cred.ai, Fanatics, Flowcode, Ollie Pets, Prolific Machines and Fleetzero.

He is the CEO of Philadelphia-based Campus Apartments with more than $2 billion of assets under management across 18 states, housing more than 25,000 students who attend 70+ colleges and universities; and co-founder and vice chairman of Future Standard (formerly known as FS Investments), a leading alternative asset manager with more than $90 billion of assets under management.

Adelman is a partner in Harris Blitzer Sports & Entertainment (HBSE), an industry-leading sports and entertainment group, with a global portfolio including the 76ers, New Jersey Devils, Crystal Palace of the English Premier League, and Prudential Center among others. He is the Chairman of the Joint Venture between HBSE and Comcast, responsible for conceptualizing and building a world-class live entertainment venue in Philadelphia, which will be the future home of the Philadelphia 76ers and Philadelphia Flyers, and the newly announced WNBA franchise.

Adelman received his Bachelor of Arts degree in political science from Ohio State University. He now resides in the Philadelphia suburbs with his wife and two daughters.
